About Nathan Kukowski, MD

Dr. Nathan Kukowski is a fellowship trained orthopedic spine surgeon who specializes in both minimally invasive and complex spine surgery.

Dr. Kukowski completed his spine surgery fellowship at Harvard University where he trained with both orthopedic spine surgeons and neurosurgeons at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Prior to his fellowship, Dr. Kukowski completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Emory University after earning his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, TX. He received his undergraduate degree from Brown University where he also played on the baseball team.

In his practice, Dr. Kukowski utilizes both nonoperative and operative methods to treat conditions of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. His expertise includes disc herniations, degenerative disorders, spinal stenosis, spinal instability, complex deformities and revision surgeries. Whenever possible, he employs minimally invasive or motion-preserving techniques including artificial disc replacement.

Dr. Kukowski’s primary focus is to alleviate pain and provide exceptional care for his patients. Every patient is unique, which is why he takes the time to develop a treatment plan that is tailored to each individual’s specific needs. He takes pride in helping his patients get back on their feet and doing what they love.
